New addition for our trophy collection
After celebrating our participation in the final of the Hessischer Gründerpreis at the end of 2023, this year we were delighted to win the Science4Life e.V. Energy Cup, come second in CherryPicks and receive the SP!N-OFF award from the HIGHEST – Innovation and Start-up Center at TU Darmstadt.
New workshop – new possibilities
ILLUTHERM has been at home in the HUB31 – Technology and Start-up Center Darmstadt since the end of 2022. In addition to our office and the workshops of LAB³ e.V., we have had our own workshop for building our systems since the middle of last year. Many thanks to the LAB3!
The team is growing!
We now have eight dedicated people on our team. We celebrate 1000 citations with our CEO.
The publication of Lukas Porz’ s master’s thesis has been cited over 1000 times since 2017. Not everyone manages that. Thank you for choosing ILLUTHERM despite your stellar academic career!
It’s getting hotter and hotter! (1450 degrees to be exact.)
Thanks to many successful test days, we were able to take our LEDs to a new level: We now reach temperatures of over 1450 degrees Celsius and can even melt metals in seconds. The proof of concept projects have also brought us sales of over 100,000 euros.
The SPRIN-D: Our “partner in crime”.
SPRIND – Bundesagentur für Sprunginnovationen has been supporting us since 2022, when our founding team was not yet complete and the name “ILLUTHERM” did not yet exist. In 2024, the collaboration also made a number of things possible for us, such as participation in several events, a professional photo shoot with the team and the video shoot for the YouTube channel “Breaking Lab”. The video has already been clicked on 120,000 times within 2 weeks!
